BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The ULM tennis team got back to its winning ways Sunday with a 6-0 sweep of conference foe Western Kentucky. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Warhawks, who improved to 11-3 overall, 3-2 against Sun Belt opponents. The Warhawks won all six singles contests in dominating fashion in a shortened match due to inclement weather in the area.

Junior Medy Blankvoort and freshman Petra Horakova each made quick work of their opponents, winning, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 2 and No. 6 positions, respectively. Blankvoort moved to 12-2 in singles play this season and an incredible 28-3 over the past two seasons.

Sophomore Silvia Tumova knocked off Gabby Crofford, 6-0, 6-1, at the No. 3 position to move to 11-3 on the season and freshman Justyna Krol defeated Katrina Vucina, 6-0, 6-2, at the No. 4 position.

Freshman Iris Van Leeuwen won for the second consecutive day with a 6-4, 6-1 decision over Alex Crofford at the No. 5 position. Sophomore Sophie Rufyikiri overcame a tough start to defeat Madeline Phillips, 7-5, 6-0, at the No. 1 position and finish off the sweep.

Up next for the Warhawks is a road match at Southern Miss on Friday, April 5, beginning at 2 p.m.
