Warhawks Drop Middle Contest to Trojans

MONROE, La. – ULM fell in game two of the weekend series with visiting Little Rock, 17-0, on Saturday night at Warhawk Field. The series is now tied at one game apiece.

ULM (20-31, 10-16 Sun Belt) and Little Rock (24-23, 15-11) traded zeros over the first three innings of Saturday's contest. It marked the second consecutive night that the two teams started the game with multiple scoreless frames.

The Trojans scored their first run of the game on a RBI double by Zach Baker in the fourth. Little Rock added five more runs in the frame to take a 6-0 lead.

Little Rock scored in each of the next three frames to take a 16-0 lead. The Trojans added one more in the ninth to set the final tally at 17-0.

ULM's Brayden Bouchey was tagged with the loss and falls to 5-3 on the season. Bouchey allowed five runs on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work.

Little Rock's Cory Malcolm (5-4) earned the win after tossing all nine innings and allowing three hits and two walks with nine strikeouts.

Up Next…
ULM and Little Rock will conclude the series tomorrow afternoon with a 1 p.m. first pitch. The game will also be senior day for the Warhawks and pre-game festivities will begin at 12:30 p.m.
