MONROE, La. – The seven-piece New Orleans roots-driven rock band The Revivalists will make a stop inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum on the campus of ULM on Friday, October 7 as part of the group's “Strangers In The Bright Lights” tour. The Revivalists have recently been featured on the Today Show as Elvis Duran's Artist of the Month and in Rolling Stones Magazine's 10 Artist You Need to Know.
Tickets are on sale now via this link and prices before Labor Day will be $10 for students and $15 to the general public. Doors will open at 8:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 9:00 p.m. inside Fant-Ewing.
“As a major focus for the upcoming athletics year, we have put an emphasis on events on campus which will build the excitement of being a part of ULM Athletics,” Director of Athletics Dr. Brian Wickstrom stated. “This is a great opportunity for music fans of all ages both in Monroe and across the region..”
Since forming in 2007, The Revivalists have logged countless miles on the road, cultivating a high octane live show and a studio presence equally steeped in instrumental virtuosity and charismatic vocal magnetism. Following two independent releases, 2010's Vital Signs and 2014's City of Sound, that time and dedication came to a head on the group's third full-length album, Men Amongst Mountains [Wind-Up Records]. As much as it's the culmination of their work thus far, it opens up a new chapter for the band—David Shaw [vocals], Zack Feinberg [guitar], Ed Williams [pedal steel guitar], Rob Ingraham [saxophone], George Gekas [bass], Andrew Campanelli [drums], and Michael Girardot [keys, trumpets].
Following the concert on Friday night, the weekend continues on Saturday afternoon when the Warhawk football team hosts Idaho inside JPS Field at Malone Stadium. October 8th will also be Teacher Appreciation Day and the annual Pink Out in support of Breast Cancer Awareness as part of the 6:00 p.m. kickoff vs. Idaho.
