MONROE, La. – The ULM women's basketball opened up practice on Sunday afternoon with an intense and competitive afternoon in the first official workout heading into the 2016-2017 season.
“I'm really pleased with the effort and enthusiasm we had today. As much as anything, that's what you are looking for during these first weeks of practice,” head coach Jeff Dow stated. “We installed some new things today and I thought we did a good job of grasping it. I was really impressed with how hard we went and I liked the energy in the gym.”
The Warhawks open the season on Friday, October 11 when they host Centenary in an 11:00 a.m. matchup inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The day game will be Education Day with students in attendance from local elementary schools.
