Monroe, La. – The ULM tennis team opened its home slate in style on Saturday afternoon with a shutout 7-0 victory over the visiting Sam Houston State Bearkats at Heard Stadium.
NOTABLES
-ULM dominated this afternoon, winning all but one of their matches in two sets over the visiting Bearkats.
-In No. 1 singles, Stefana Andrei won in straight sets 6-2,6-0. She was also paired with Karolina Snita in doubles action and they won 6-4 this afternoon. Snita played No. 5 singles won her matchup 4-6, 6-0, 10-8.
-Patricia Villar won today 7-6, 6-3 on court two for the Warhawks. In No. 3 singles Tiffany Mylonas won 6-3,6-3, while she and Stanciu paired up in doubles action for win 6-1.
-Petra Horakova remained unbeaten in singles action this season as she won 6-0, 6-4 on court four to move to move her record 3-0 on the year. Horakova's doubles partner, Madalina Grigoriu, won in straight sets on court six 6-0, 6-0 in singles play before Horakova and Grigoriu matched up in doubles action to win 6-2.
-The Warhawks are now 18-7 all-time against Sam Houston State.

-The Warhawks will travel Friday to battle at Stephen F. Austin. The match against the Ladyjacks will begin at 1:00 p.m. in Nacogdoches.
