Monroe, La. – The ULM men's golf team opens its 2017 spring season on in the Atchafalaya Intercollegiate in Patterson, Louisiana beginning with the opening two rounds on Monday.
NOTABLES
-The event will start at 7:45 a.m. on Monday morning with 36 holes of continuous golf for the field. After the 36 holes on Monday, the Warhawks will then join the field with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start to finish the event on Tuesday.
-The Warhawks will send Hogan Arey, Guillaume Fanonnel, Joao Girao, Brady Price and Thibault Santigny onto the course as their five-member team. Blake Traweek will compete in the event as an individual for ULM as well..
-The Warhawks come into the spring season following a fall campaign where they won in two of their four tournaments, taking the title at both the Sam Hall and Jim Rivers Intercollegiates.
-In last year's rain shortened tournament, the Warhawks won the event with a team score of 284 in the only round to win the event by four shots. Hogan Arey shot a 71 (-1) and Blake Traweek shot 72 (E) as the two Warhawks that return this year from the event.
-The tournament will feature ULM, Nicholls State, Mobile, Texas Southern, Central Arkansas, Texas-Rio Grande, Incarnate Word and New Orleans.

UP NEXT
-Following the Atchafalaya Intercollegiate, the Warhawks will head to Houston, Texas for the Colin Montgomerie/Houston Baptist tournament. The two-day event will begin on February 27.
