Ben Jacobs currently serves as the Director of Sports Performance at ULM and brings over six years of physical preparation experience across a multitude of sport disciplines. His high-energy and passionate coaching style, coupled with his holistic training approach, creates a unique training environment that allows the student-athletes he trains to thrive physically and psychologically in their sport.
Jacobs was appointed Director of Sports Performance for the Warhawks in January 2016. He previously served as the Assistant Director, working with golf, baseball, and football.
Jacobs came to ULM from the University of North Texas where he served as an Assistant Performance Coach under Frank Wintrich with the football team. While at North Texas, Jacobs oversaw the athletic development of all wide receivers and defensive backs while also overseeing all speed development for the football team.
Jacobs started his career at IMG Academies, where he was able to learn from world renowned Speed Coach Loren Seagrave and his assistant, Kevin Heiberger. While an Assistant Performance coach at IMG, Jacobs assisted with NFL Combine Prep, NFL offseason training and MLB offseason training, as well as the athletic development of hundreds of student-athletes.
