Katie Green was named the Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations at ULM in August 2016.
Green comes to ULM with four years of experience on the table as a former intern and graduate assistant at Missouri Baptist University.
As an intern, Green learned the ropes of sports information and quickly assumed the roles of the main contact for golf and bowling. As she was entrusted with more responsibilities she became the main contact for both soccer teams as well as the women’s lacrosse team.
As a graduate assistant, Green was responsible for both the men’s and women’s teams for volleyball and lacrosse. During her time as the main contact for the men’s volleyball team, Missouri Baptist was host to the NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Invitational and Green was appointed as the media contact for the event two years in a row.
During her time at Missouri Baptist, Green saw the men’s volleyball team claim its first ever national title in 2015 and then saw the team become only the second team in NAIA history to win back-to-back titles as the Spartans won their second title in 2016. Green also followed the women’s volleyball team to the NAIA National Championship match for the first time in MBU history (2015) as well as the men’s lacrosse team to its first ever NAIA National Invitational (2016).
Green graduated with her master’s degree in sport management from Missouri Baptist University in May 2016.
