Wade finished the game 5-for-6 with three doubles and three RBIs, Clowers was 4-for-5 and York was 3-for-3 with three RBIs as Gold jumped out to a 7-0 lead after the first two innings.

York led all players in the series batting .706 (12-of-17) with three doubles, a home run and 12 RBIs. Clowers was just as impressive hitting at a .500 clip (11-of-22), while Matt Laird finished batting .409 (9-of-22).

Josh Miller pitched five strong innings to pick up the victory for Gold. The senior allowed just one run as he scattered five hits and struck out a pair of batters.

Clowers and Wade led off the bottom of the first with back-to-back singles and following a strikeout York picked up his 10^th RBI of the series with a single back up the middle. Jordy Poche followed with an RBI double and Casey Auttonberry added the final run of the frame with a single to right.

Gold put the game out of reach with four runs in the bottom of the second on RBIs from Wade, Laird and York. Laird finished the game 2-for-5 with a pair of RBIs.

Boomer Blanchard provided the first run of the night for Maroon with a solo home run to left field in the third. Shane Ardoin drove in an unearned run in the top of the ninth for Maroon's other run. Judd Edwards and Jarrett Hammond led Maroon for the series each batting .450 (9-of-20), while Taylor Abdalla finished the series batting .400 (6-of-15).

Gold added single runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings and five runs in the seventh to extend its lead.

Drew Granier took the loss for Maroon allowing seven runs - five earned - on eight hits in 1.1 innings of work. Don Williams pitched well in relief for the Maroon Team allowing just a run on three hits over three innings of work - he also struck out four batters.

ULM opens the 2010 season with a three-game series at Ole Miss on Feb. 19-21.
