NEW ORLEANS - The Sun Belt
Conference announced its 2010 football television schedule for the Sun Belt
Network on Monday as the league kicked off its annual media days. The Warhawks
will be featured on the Sun Belt Network at least twice in 2010 and will have
at least three of their other games televised live.
The Warhawks open the league
portion of their schedule on Sept. 18 at Arkansas State on the Sun Belt
Network. It marks the third straight season that the two teams will play each
other in front of a televised audience - last season ULM defeated the Red
Wolves on ESPN2 and two years ago the teams battled on ESPN+.
ULM's contest against
defending league champion Troy on Oct. 30 will also be televised by the Sun
Belt Network. The Sun Belt announced a new twist to its television scheduling
process this year allowing for four wild card games at the end of the season
instead of scheduling all 12 games prior to the start of the season. The wild
card games will take place in November - the Warhawks have league games
scheduled against FIU, North Texas and UL-Lafayette during November.
All three of ULM's games
against Southeastern Conference teams - Arkansas, Auburn and LSU - will be
televised by one of the entities of the SEC Network or on pay-per-view (each SEC school may televise one game a year on pay-per-view). Game
times and the specific network that will televise the SEC Network games are
typically announced 10 days prior to the game.
ULM has appeared on television
18 times over the past four seasons with 14 of those games shown on the ESPN
family of networks.
