Voight Accepts Head Coaching Position at Bluefield State

Men's Basketball
MONROE, La. – ULM men's basketball assistant coach Jimmy Voight was introduced today (Wednesday, September 1) as the new head coach at Bluefield State College, a NCAA Division II institution in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

“I appreciate Jimmy's efforts over the last four months during the transition of our program,” said ULM head coach Keith Richard. “We wish Jimmy and his family the best.”

Voight spent one season at ULM after serving as a head coach at the NAIA and JUCO levels for 13 years.

“I would like to thank the ULM athletic administration for giving me the opportunity to coach at the Division I level,” said Voight.  “I would also like to thank Keith Richard for keeping me on as an assistant after he was hired. My family and I enjoyed our time in Monroe, however when presented with a chance to return to being a head coach at the Division II level presented itself, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.”
