MONROE, La. - ULM men's basketball head coach Keith Richard
announced the addition of 6-foot-4 guard Amos Olatayo for the 2012-13 season.
A native of Houston, Texas, Olatayo led Navarro Junior
College in scoring this past season and was named to the NJCAA Region XIV
All-Conference team. He also earned Region XIV All-Tournament honors while
helping Navarro College to the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kan.
"Amos will bring speed and quickness to our perimeter,"
Richard said. "His ability to defend and run the floor will help us
immediately. He is coming from a winning junior college program that is known
for how hard they play."
Olatayo spent his freshman season at Stephen F. Austin
before transferring to Navarro College. He becomes the second player to sign
with ULM during the spring signing period, joining Millaun Brown.
