KINDER, La. - ULM sophomore
Mason Seaborn sits in fourth place after one round of play at the Moe O'Brien Intercollegiate, hosted by McNeese State at the scenic Koasati Pines Resort golf course.
Seaborn shot a three-under-par 69 to pace the Warhawk line up. He is three off the pace set by Houston Baptist's Jeffrey Merrell (66). ULM freshman
Greg Smail established a career best, shooting a two-under-par 70.
Heavy rains prevented the teams from playing a full 36 holes Monday, and darkness combined with another brief rain delay prevented the full completion of the first round. A small group of golfers still need to complete the 18th hole of the first round and will do so tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m.
In the team competition, the Warhawks are in second place of seven teams with a 288. Houston Baptist leads all teams with a 280, pending the final group's completion.
The second and final round begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
