MONROE, La. -- The ULM football team will travel to the state capitol of Baton Rouge as it plays its first road game of the 2014 Saturday night at LSU. The game is set for a 6:02 p.m. CT kick-off on ESPNU with Clay Matvick (play-by-play), Anthony Becht (analyst) and Dawn Davenport (sideline) on the call.
The game will also air on KJLO 104.1 FM in Monroe and online at KJLO.com. Frank Hoffmann (play-by-play) and will be joined by Scott McDonald (analyst) and Joey Trappey (sideline) beginning with the pre-game show at 5:30 p.m.
First and Ten…
• ULM will play the first of three Southeastern Conference schools as it travels to Baton Rouge, La., for a Saturday night contest against nationally-ranked LSU... The meeting between the Warhawks and Tigers at Tiger Stadium will be the third meeting all-time with LSU owning a 2-0 lead in the series... ULM last traveled to LSU on Nov. 13, 2010 with the first meeting between the two taking place in Baton Rouge on Aug. 30, 2003.
• Despite hitting the road for its first away game of the 2014 season, the Warhawks will play their third straight game in the state of Louisiana... In fact ULM's first four games all take place in the Pelican State as the Warhawks welcome Troy to JPS Field at Malone Stadium for Homecoming on Sept. 27 at 6 p.m... The Warhawks first trip outside of the state of Louisiana will take place during the first weekend of October as they travel to Jonesboro, Ark., to face Sun Belt foe, Arkansas State (Oct. 4, 6 p.m.).
• ULM has defeated four different teams from the SEC... To open the 2012 season, the Warhawks defeated No. 8 Arkansas, 34-31 (OT), in Little Rock (Sept. 8)... The Warhawks also have wins over Alabama (W, 21-14, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Nov. 17, 2007), Kentucky (W, 21-14, Lexington, Ky., Nov. 5, 1994) and Mississippi State (W, 34-32, Starkville, Miss., Sept. 30, 1995).
• ULM improved to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in Sun Belt Conference play with a 38-31 win over Idaho on Sept. 6 at the friendly confines of JPS Field at Malone Stadium... With the win, the Warhawks are 2-0 to start a season for the first time since the 1993 season, the program's last season at the I-AA (FCS) level... The 1993 squad went on to finish 9-3 overall and 6-1 in the Southland Conference.
• The Sept. 6 contest between ULM and Idaho took more than five and a half hours thanks to a lightning delay of 2h 6m -- delay began with 3:32 to play in the first quarter (6:43 p.m.) and the teams resumed action at 8:49 p.m... When the final seconds ticked off the clock, it was 11:38 p.m., a total elapsed time of 5h 34m.
• ULM and New Mexico State have identical records as the Aggies picked up a 34-31 road win at Georgia State on Sept. 6... NMSU defeated Cal Poly in its home opener, 28-10, on Aug. 28... South Alabama and Texas State are also undefeated on the season as both programs are 1-0... South Alabama had a bye week one and won on the road at Kent State on Sept. 6 (W, 23-13)... Texas State defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 65-0, in its home opener on Aug. 30 before having this past week off from competition.
• The ULM offense was clicking on Saturday night in the 38-31 win over Idaho...The Warhawks racked up 534 yards of total offense -- 384 through the air, 150 on the ground... Pete Thomas completed 24 of his 44 passes for 384 passing yards and two scores... Ajalen Holley and Kenzee Jackson each hauled in six catches and each set a new career-high with 175 yards and 87 yards, respectively... In all, seven different receivers caught passes in the win over the Vandals.
• Centarius Donald recorded his second straight game with 20 or more carries as the senior rushed 20 times for 111 yards and three scores in the 38-31 win over the Vandals... It was Donald's one-yard TD run with 9 seconds remaining that gave the Warhawks the seven-point win.
• Justin Backus set a new career-high in tackles as the sophomore totaled 10 stops (six solo, four asst) against Idaho.
• Hunter Kissinger recorded the fourth interception of his career and it extended the Warhawks' streak to 28 straight games of forcing at least one turnover... The Warhawks streak ranks second-nationally, trailing on Missouri (46)... Cody Robinson recovered one fumble in the game (second career) and his interception on Idaho's final pass at the end of the game was the first interception of his career.
• Justin Manton was tallied eight points in the win over Idaho on Sept. 6... Manton connected on all five PATs and was 1-for-2 on field goal attempts... Manton now has 186 career points and that ranks fourth all-time in ULM history in career scoring... Manton surpassed RB Calvin Dawson who had 180 points during his four-year career (2004-07).

ULM and LSU have met twice on the gridiron... The two Louisiana schools first met on Aug. 30, 2003 in Baton Rouge... The Warhawks and Tigers last met in 2010 when the two squads battled at Tiger Stadium on Nov. 13, 2010.

LSU enters this weekend's game with a 2-0 record after wins over No. 14 Wisconsin (W, 28-24, Aug. 30, Houston) and Sam Houston State (W, 56-0, Sept. 6, Baton Rouge)... As a team, the Tigers are averaging 42.0 ppg, while limiting opponents to 12.0 ppg... The Tigers are also averaging 474.5 yards of total offense versus an average of 262.0 ypg by their opponents.
Anthony Jennings has started both games under center and he is 16-of-34 for 427 yards with five touchdown passes and zero interceptions... Jennings has also rushed 17 times for 41 yards... Kenny Hilliard and Leonard Fournette both have over 100 yards rushing on the season at 165 yards and 110 yards, respectively... Travin Dural is the team's leading receiver with 291 yards on six catches, including four touchdowns.
Danielle Hunter leads the team in both tackles (14) as well as tackles for loss (2.5)... As a team, the defense has tallied seven sacks and 15 tackles for loss... The unit also has four interceptions and one fumble recovery.
Jamie Keehn has punted 12 times for 515 yads (42.9 avg) with a long of 64... He has three punts of 50 or more yards and eight have landed inside the 20... Trent Domingue and Cameron Gamble have split duties on kickoffs this season... Colby Delahoussaye has hit 8-of-9 PATs and is 2-2 on field goal attempts.

In the season opener Centarius Donald set a new career-high as he carried the ball 26 times and finished with 117 rushing yards (long of 39)... Donald also moved the chains of total eight times during the 17-10 over the Demon Deacons (Aug. 28)... Donald wasn't the only one to carry the load for the Warhawk run game as Tyler Cain registered 11 carries for 46 yards including a long of 16... In all the Warhawk offense rushed for 163 yards on 44 carries in the season opening win.
Donald again went over the 100-yard plateau as he recorded 111 rushing yards on 20 carries with three touchdowns in the win over Idaho on Sept. 6... Through two games in 2014, Donald has rushed for 228 yards on 46 carries and three scores... He is averaging 114 yards per game and 4.95 yards per carry.

Ajalen Holley shattered his previous career high of 74 receiving yards as he caught three passes (one touchdown) for 114 yards in the opening quarter of Saturday's 38-31 win over Idaho... Holley went on to finish the game with 175 receiving yards on just six grabs (29.1 ypc)... His 175 receiving yards are the most in the Sun Belt this season and he is the first SBC wide receiver to tally 100+ receiving yards against a FBS opponent...Holley caught two passes on ULM's first scoring drive including a 54-yard pass from Pete Thomas that set up the first score for the Warhawks... Less than three minutes later, Holley beat the Idaho secondary and hauled in a 58-yard TD reception to put ULM ahead 14-7... Late in the fourth quarter, Holley caught a 20-yard pass from Thomas giving the sophomore four receptions of 20 or more yards on the night.
