Monroe, La. – The ULM men’s and women’s track & field brought home multiple wins in the Warhawks' trip down I-20 on Wednesday night as they competed in the Jim Mize Invitational at Louisiana Tech.


-Emile Trahan won the the 100 meter dash on Wednesday night with a time of 10.99, while teammate Semaj Lewis had a 11.11 time to finish in third place in the event.

-In the men’s 200 meter race, the Warhawks had the third, fourth and fifth finishers, led by Austin Walker with a 23.81 finishing time.

-Andre Johnson's time of 50.41 in the 400 meter race finished in second place in Wednesday night’s event. Jansen Nowell in the men’s 800 meter had a time of 1:59.82 to finish just behind the eventual winner from Louisiana Tech.

-The Warhawks had another group finish strong in the 400 meter hurdles as the Warhawks had finishers in second through fifth place in the event, highlighted by Zach Kilpatrick's 55.21 time.

-Rodney Harrison finished in second with a 1.83 meter jump in the men’s high jump, while Dahndre Washington had a third place showing in the men’s long jump with a 6.63 meter jump.

-Lebrun Nelson in the men’s triple jump won his event with a 14.86 meter jump to win by .10 meters, while Jevaughn Shaw finished in second in the men’s discus with a 49.12 meter throw.

-On the women’s side on Wednesday, the Warhawks got a big start from La’Porcha Griggs in the women’s 100 meter das, winning the event with a 12.21 time. Teammate Sydney Curry had a 13.29 time in the event to finish in fourth place.

-Devyn Hosby in the 200 meter race on Wednesday had a time of 26.09 to finish in second place. In the women’s 800 meter race, the Warhawks had a trio of competitors in the event highlighted by Brittany Garrison finishing in third place with a time of 2:27.54.

-Kennedy Smith and Kaitlin Fleming in the women’s 1500 meter run finished a close second and third in the event for the Warhawks. Smith had a 5:12.18 finishing time while Fleming finished with a 5:14.02 time.

-Kourtni Russell won the 100 meter hurdles on the women’s side with a 15.31 meter time to win the event. The women’s 4x400 meter relay team had a runners-up performance on Wednesday night as they posted a time of 4:07.86.

-In the women’s long jump, the Warhawks had the top two finishers, led by Adriunna Brown's 5.71 meter jump while Micaiah Dendy had a 5.38 meter jump.

-Alexis Gordon's 46.43 meter throw in the discus to win the discus event on Wednesday night.


-ULM will have another quick turnaround as they will hit the track once again on Friday and Saturday for the two-day Louisiana Classics in Lafayette.
