Location: Conway, Arkansas

Conway, Arkansas – The ULM men’s and women’s track & field teams had a dominant showing on Saturday, bringing home six wins, highlighted by sweeping the podium in the men’s shot put.

NOTABLES

-The Warhawks dominated the shot put event, with Kyle Weiss winning the event with a 15.81 meter toss while Jevaughn Shaw had a 15.64 meter throw and Micah Dye finished third with a 15.02 meter throw.

-Lebrun Nelson earned the top spot in the triple jump, finishing with the third-best distance in the Sun Belt this spring, with an 15.35 meter jump to win Saturday's event by 1.05 meters.

-Kourtni Russell won the 100 meter hurdles with her 15.18 second time, while Dominique Allen picked up the victory in the shot put with a 12.49 meter throw. Alexis Gordon finished third with a 12.15 meter throw and Alyssa Smith was sixth with a 11.32 meter throw.

-Gordon and Allen took the top two places in the discus, as Gordon had a 45.42 meter throw while Allen finished runner up with a 36.6 meter throw. Allen rounded out her day with a win in the hammer throw as she had a 50.02 meter throw in the win.

-Toni Corso finished second in the 400 meter hurdles with a 1:04.50 time.

-The 4x100 meter women's relay team for the Warhawks had a runner up finish as they ran a 48.72 time.

-Andre Phillips had a runner up finish in the 400 meter hurdles, just missing his season best, running a 53.69 on Saturday.

-Jemal Parharm had a runner up finish in the long jump with his 7.35 meter jump, just 0.12 meters off of winning the event.

-Shaw had a second place showing in the discus with a 50.38 meter throw. Dye and Weiss finished fourth and fifth respectively throws of 46.17 and 45.71 meters.

-La’Porcha Griggs finished second in the 100 meter dash with a 12.35 time, just .01 second out of the win.

-Baillie Cunningham had a second place finish in the 800 meter race. Cunningham ran a 2:22.54 time, while Kennedy Smith finished sixth with a 2:26.61 finishing time.

-Griggs and Germanii Murphy had a second-third finish in the 200 meter dash, as Griggs ran a 25.58 time and Murphy ran a 25.97 finishing time.

-Dye finished third in the men’s hammer toss as he had a 46.78 meter throw. Torri Harrel finished fourth in the 5000 meter run with a 21:16.96 finish.

-Austin Walker had a fifth place performance in the high jump on Saturday with a 1.90 meter throw, just 0.2 meters off the winning distance. 

-In the women’s long jump, Micaiah Dendy finished fifth with a 5.51 meter distance, while Payton Simpson had a 5.24 meter jump to finish in ninth place.

-The Warhawks had a pair of representatives in the top 10 in the men’s 100 meter dash. Semaj Lewis had a sixth place finish with a 11.36 time while Emile Trahan ran an 11.60 time to finish in eighth place.

-Jansen Nowell had a seventh place finish in the 1500 meter event, running a 4:08.28 time. Trahan also had an eighth place showing in the 200 meter event on Saturday as he ran a 22.65 time.

-ULM will be back on the track next Saturday, April 22 in the LSU Alumni Gold event in Baton Rouge.
