Women's Basketball Inks Journee Beard

MONROE, La. -- ULM women's basketball coach Mona Martin and her staff announced Wednesday the addition of Journee Beard (Baton Rouge, La. / St. Michael HS) during early signing period.

A 5-6 point guard, Beard stays in-state for her collegiate career and signs with the Warhawks after what will end being a solid prep career. Last season Beard started all 34 games and was a First Team All-District (6-4A) selection while averaging 12.1 points and 3.3 assists per game. She also collected 76 steals and made 65 three-pointers while shooting 34% from behind the arc and 39% from the floor. St. Michael lost in the second round of the Louisiana Girls Basketball State Playoffs last season.
