MONROE, La. -- The ULM track & field team makes its season debut at the McNeese Indoor Invitational on Friday in Lake Charles, La.

The Warhawk men and women will be part of a field that also includes host McNeese State, UL-Lafayette, Lamar, Northwestern State, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Nicholls State, New Orleans and Dillard.

The ULM men return four athletes that earned All-Louisiana honors last season, highlighted by senior Daniel Mutai. Mutai has had a decorated career for the Warhawks, which includes an appearance at last season's NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 10,000-meter run and two appearances at the NCAA Cross Country Championships (2010 & 2011).

Senior Clint Broussard (high jump), sophomore Jamel Sams (400 hurdles) and senior Dimitri Hampton (400 relay) also earn All-Louisiana honors for the Warhawks last season.

On the women's side, senior Danielle O'Donnell is the leading returner after earning All-Louisiana honors in the high jump. O'Donnell also placed fifth in the pentathlon at last season's Indoor Sun Belt Championships.

The McNeese Invitational begins at 11 a.m. on Friday with the field events. The running events will get going at 4 p.m.
