MONROE, La. – The ULM women’s basketball program signed its second recruit in as many days on Thursday afternoon as Olivia Countiss signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Warhawks for the 2014-15 season.
Countiss, currently a senior at Brandon High School in Brandon, Miss., is a 5’10” shooting guard that will provide a boost to the program, which will lose guards Jasmine Shaw, Alexar Tugler and Elexar Tugler to graduation following the 2013-14 season.
During her junior year, Countiss averaged 13.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and a pair of assists per game for the Bulldogs. She was named the MVP of District 6A in Mississippi and also earned the Offensive Player of the Year honor for her stellar campaign.Countiss joins De’Anquinette Henderson, who committed on Wednesday, as a member of the 2014-15 signing class for ULM women’s basketball.
