MONROE, La. – The ULM women’s basketball program added its third commit of the signing period on Monday, inking Natasha Malone to a NLI to join the squad for the 2014-15 season.
The Lindale, Texas, product averages 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks per game for the Eagles and was named the District overall MVP as well as the defensive MVP. Malone was also named to the All-East Texas Team.
The 6’3” center would immediately become the tallest player on the roster, followed closely by juniors Tyler Holley and Sharnice Brooks, both of whom stand at 6’2”.
With the impending graduations of Ashleigh Simmons and Jasmine Shaw, Malone would also be one of three Texas products on the roster next season alongside Holley (Fort Worth) and Jasmine Taylor (Denton).
Malone joins De'Anquinette Henderson and Olivia Countiss as members of the 2014-15 recruiting class that have signed to attend ULM.
