MONROE, La. -- The ULM tennis program will head to Birmingham, Ala., Friday for a 2 p.m. match against the UAB Blazers followed by a Sunday contest against Troy at 10:30 a.m. to conclude the regular season.
ULM enters the weekend at 7-8 after picking up a pair of home victories against UL-Lafayette and Southern Miss last weekend. Reigning Female Warhawk of the Week Medy Blankvoort clinched both the doubles point and the overall match against the Golden Eagles.
The Blazers come in at 8-12 after falling to FIU by a 4-2 tally in Miami on April 6. The team has lost four of their last five, with the last victory coming at Lamar on Mar. 26.
The Trojans, meanwhile, are 12-7, but the squad saw a seven-match winning streak come to a close April 9 at Samford (L, 2-5). Troy had wins over UL-Lafayette, Middle Tennessee and Boston University in the stretch.
UAB and Troy will battle on April 12 in Birmingham as part of the weekend’s festivities.
