MONROE, La. - The ULM beach volleyball team will travel to Conway, Arkansas this weekend for its final tournament of the regular season when the Warhawks face off in three games at Central Arkansas.
Last time out: The Warhawks played a single dual against New Orleans and finished with a 5-0 sweep. The sweep also completed a season sweep as the Warhawks defeated the Privateers 5-0 two other times this season.
Houston Baptist: The Huskies will enter the weekend with an even record of 11-11. ULM and HBU have played each other two other times this season with each team having a win. HBU holds a 4-6 record at neutral sites.
UT Martin: This will be the second time that ULM will face UT Martin. The Warhawks defeated the Skyhawks previously in the Governors Classic. UT Martin has yet to win a contest this season.
Central Arkansas: The Sugar Bears are off to a solid start in their inaugural season with a current record of 10-3. Central Arkansas has won three of its last five games. The teams only three losses have been to No. 7 LSU, No. 16 Tulane and No. 17 TCU. The Warhawks played against the Sugar Bears in Monroe with a 3-2 loss that ended the home winning streak for ULM.
Queens of the Court: While the win streak for the pair of Catherine Griffith and Becca Brown came to a close last weekend, the pair recorded a total of 15 wins, which is the most consecutive wins by a pair in ULM history. The largest win streak by one pair was previously set by Marcela Araya and Zuzana Markova in 2014 with eight consecutive wins.
Winning Record: The Warhawks are on the cusp of a 20-win season. In ULM's previous four years, it has had only two winning seasons (2013 and 2015). The highest total of wins in a season was 15 for the Warhawks in 2015. While the Warhawks have already surpassed that, they have the opportunity to record to the program's first 20-win season this weekend.
