Browning Signs Free-Agent Deal with Blue Jays
MONROE, La. - Less than a week after his collegiate career came to a close, Wil Browning has signed a free-agent deal with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Browning led ULM in appearances (31), wins (eight) and saves (six). In 60.2 innings on the mound, he recorded a 3.41 ERA and finished with 56 strikeouts and opponents batted just .234 off of the right-hander.
In conference play, Browning finished 3-3 with two saves and a 3.66 ERA. In 32 innings, spanning 16 appearances, he struck out 32 and limited opponents to a .260 batting average.
During his three seasons in a Warhawk uniform, the Kosciusko, Miss., native posted a 13-6 record with 11 saves and a 4.58 ERA in 118.0 innings of work (59 appearances). He struck out 111 during his ULM career and limited opposing batters to a .266 average.
