Chile Pepper Festival
Results: MEN 16th - WOMEN 17th

Fayetteville, Ark. – The ULM men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Chile Pepper Fesitival on Sunday which featured many talented teams in it. The men’s team finished 16th and the Women finished in 17th on Saturday morning.
-The Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival featured representation at the collegiate level from 17 states which includes Arkansas, Texas, Nevada, Massachusetts and even South Dakota.
-Elias Keter paced the Men’s side for the Warhawks running a 25:25 which was good enough for 47th place on Saturday in a very deep field. Just behind Keter in 49th was Kipkirui Victor who finished 25:26.
-The run for Keter was almost a minute quicker than what he ran a year ago in the same event as he posted a 26:21 last year in the Chile Pepper Festival.
-On the women’s side the Warhawks were paced by Edith Jebet who ran a time of 19:01 that was good for 82nd. Angela Jepchirchir was quickly following behind her running a 19:10 good enough for 90th.
-In total, the Warhawk men and women each saw seven runners compete in their respective races on Saturday.
-ULM will begin preparation for the Watson Ford Invitational. The Warhawks will run in the event next Friday in Clinton, Mississippi.
