BATON ROUGE -  The ULM beach volleyball team capped off the weekend with a pair of 4-1 wins over Texas A&M-Kingsville and Spring Hill on Saturday in the Battle on the Bayou.

-The Warhawks won 4-1 against Spring Hill to start the day off. The only loss came in the one position. Three of the remaining four teams went three sets.

-The Warhawks closed out the weekend with a 4-1 win over TAMKU. Three of the top five matches went three sets. The only loss came in the five position.

-After the 5-0 loss to No. 7 LSU on Friday, the Warhawks were able to bounce back on day two with only two set losses out of the 10 total matches played on the day.

Overall Thoughts: “I'm happy that we took care of business and got two wins today, but I felt that at times it was sloppy. We looked a little tired at times. Hopefully we can rest and regain some energy over spring break and be ready to go for Tuesday's match. Overall though, we are headed home with a winning record from the weekend with our only losses coming to ranked opponents, one of whom we played as close as we could without winning."

From Here: "We are also coming home with a new program record for wins in a season. It's a special accomplishment for this group. I hope we can keep working hard and fight for a possible 20 win season. That would be even more special and would mean we played some really great volleyball down the stretch. I'm looking forward to seeing how we finish this week."

-The Warhawks travel to New Orleans on Tuesday to faceoff against UNO for the third time this season, already owning a pair of victories over the Privateers this year.
