Results After Two Rounds: ULM 10th

Location: Fighting Joe Course / Muscle Shoals, Ala.

Muscle Shoals, Ala. - The ULM women’s golf team struggled on Tuesday as the team had issues on the Fighting Joe Course and shot a 326 to sit in 10th place going to the final round of the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Championship on Wednesday in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

-After an 81 on Monday ,Devanshi Naik improved in round two and posted a 77 in the second round to lead the Warhawks in scoring this afternoon. -Shani White had a second round 80, carding a 39 on her first nine holes and following that up with a five-over 41 on the second nine. She sits in a tie for 28th after two rounds.

-Olivia Landberg struggled in her second round with an 84. Ashton Maddaloni had a second round 85 as she had issues with a 42 on her first nine and closed with a 43. Michaela Osborne rounded out the team with an 87, shooting three-over on her first nine before hitting a rough patch with a 48 coming in.

Head Coach Joni Stephens

Thought on the Event: We struggled with our ball striking today, averaging eight greens in regulation as a team, and had too many big numbers again. We cannot compete when we only have one score in the 70's. Devanshi lead the team with her 77, coming back from her one double with a birdie on the next hole to keep her round going. If her putter had been on, she would have had a low score. Shani had a couple of shots get away from her off the tee, keeping her from her normal 70's round. We still have some playing cautious and trying to guide their shots and putts. We cannot play that way and expect to score.

-The Warhawks will be back on the Fighting Joe Course on Wednesday morning for the final round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship. ULM will tee off at 7:30 a.m. in eight minute incraments off of the 10th tee, paired with Coastal Carolina.
