Texas Relays

Location: Austin, Texas

Monroe, La. – The ULM men’s and women’s track & field teams were busy on Friday in Austin at the Texas Relays, highlighted by a pair of seventh place finishes in the deep field.

NOTABLES

-In the men’s shot put, Kyle Weiss was able to put up a strong seventh place showing with a 16.64 meter throw.

-Senior Adriunna Brown had a seventh place finish of her own in the women’s long jump with a 5.78 meter jump.

-In the men’s triple jump Junior Lebrun Nelson had an eighth place finish with a 15.08 meter jump, while Jevaughn Shaw placed ninth in the men’s discus with a  51.42 meter throw on Friday.

-The event in Austin features 7,700 athletes from 37 different states and 17 nations throughout the event this season.

-ULM will be back on the track again tomorrow for the final day of the Texas Relays.
