SFA Kight Invitational

Location: Nacogdoches, Texas

Monroe, La. – The ULM men’s and women’s track & field teams head to Texas this weekend for a fourth straight meet in the state of Texas. This trip, the Warhawks will be competing in the SFA Kight Invitational hosted by Stephen F. Austin.


-The Warhawks will send a large contingent this weekend to the SFA Kight Invitational as over 40 Warhawks will be in Nacogdoches for the event.

-The meet begins for ULM at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with field events before the distance events will take place on Friday night. In those events the Warhawks have Lonnie Wiley (javelin), Micah Dye, Dominique Allen and Alyssa Smith (shot put), Kylee Ogden (pole vault), and Adriunna Brown, Micaiah Dendy, Rodney Harrison, Jemal Parharm, Austin Walker and Dahndre Washington (long jump).

-The Warhawks will have strong representation on Friday night in the 5,000 meter event as nine representatives will be in the respective races while four more will join in the 1,500 meter event.

-Saturday morning will finish the field events as Dominique Allen, Alyssa Smith and Micah Dye will compete in the hammer throw, while Dye will also compete in the discus. Brown and Dendy, along with Dahndre Washington and Lebrun Nelson, will compete in the men's and women's triple jump. Austin Walker will finish the field events in the high jump. In the running events on Saturday afternoon the Warhawks will have representation throughout the day.

-Teams included this weekend include: ULM, Central Arkansas, Dallas Baptist, East Texas Baptist, Jarvis Christian, Louisiana Tech, UT-Tyler, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston St., Rice, Southern Arkansas, Southwestern Assemblies of God, Texas College, Wiley.


-ULM will be back on the track after the SFA Kight Invitational for the UCA Open beginning on Friday, April 14.
