Warhawks Wrap Up SFA Meet on Saturday

SFA Kight Invitational

Location: Nacogdoches, Texas

Nacogdoches, Texas – The ULM men’s and women’s track & field teams wrapped up the SFA Kight Invitational on Saturday with a strong showing, including senior Adriunna Brown picking up two wins on the day.


-Adriunna Brown was solid in the meet for the Warhawks as she was able to win the 400 meter hurdles with a 1:01.08 time. Brown also won the women’s triple jump with a 12.18 meter distance for the win.

-Jemal Parharm placed in second on Friday night in the men’s long jump with a 7.37 meter jump. Elias Keter had a runner-up finish in the men’s 5000 meter run with a time of 14:56.34.

-The men’s 4x100 meter relay team had a strong showing, finishing in third place with a time of 42.66. The women’s 100 meter hurdles had a strong finish, as Kourtni Russell finished in fifth a time of 14.48 while Ava Paul was seventh with her 15.06 time. 

-In the men’s javelin throw, Lonnie Wiley placed in sixth as on his last toss he had a 51.91 meter toss. Dominique Allen placed in sixth in the hammer throw with a 48.68 meter throw. She finished in fifth in the discus throw with a 42.11 meter toss.

-Toni Corso placed in sixth in the 400 meter hurdles finishing at 1:04.27 while Ava Paul finished eighth with a 1:08.34 time. 

-In the women’s shot put Dominique Allen placed in seventh as she had a 12.68 meter throw. Micah Dye on the men’s side placed in sixth with a 15.12 meter throw.

-Brandon McDonald had a seventh place showing in the 1500 meter run, finishing with a 3:57.12 time. McDonald also placed in sixth in the 800 meter with a 1:54.83 finishing time.

-Edith Jebet finished in eighth in the women’s 5000 meter run after finishing with an 18:21.09 time. 

- Angela Jepchirchir finished in eighth with a 2:22.19 time in the women's 800 meter run, while Baillie Cunningham finished in 10th with a 2:22.67 time.


-ULM will be back on the track again Friday, April 14 when they head to Conway, Arkansas for the UCA Open.
