NCAA East Regionals

Lexington, Ky. – The ULM men's and women's track & field team sent a pair of student-athletes into a highly competitive field in Lexington, Kentucky on Friday at the NCAA East Regional, with both having strong showings in their respective events.
-Senior Alexis Gordon finished her career as a Warhawk with a 49.39 meter throw in Friday's discus to finish 27th overall in the event. Her first attempt had a 48.01 meter toss before she improved on that by over a meter for her final mark, but was unable to crack the top 12 to advance.
-Levaughn Battick came up short in his opportunity to make it to Saturday's second round of the men's 110 meter hurdles as he posted a 14.68 second time in his respective heat. Battick was in a highly competitive heat which had four finishers advance into Saturday's second round.
-On Saturday, the Warhawks will send Jevaughn Shaw to the field at 1:00 p.m. CST when he competes in the men's discus. Shaw will have to be in the top 12 when competition is over on Saturday to advance to Oregon and the NCAA National Championships.
-Also on Saturday, Lebrun Nelson will compete in the triple jump on at 2:00 p.m. CST when he will be in one of four flights and have three attempts. Adriunna Brown will be the final ULM competitor on Saturday, competing in the triple jump slated for 5:00 p.m. CST. She will be in one of four seeded flights where she will need to place in the top 12 to advance the NCAA National Championships.
