Monroe, La. – The ULM tennis team is set for Friday’s Sun Belt Conference Championship quarterfinal matchup against Texas State in New Orleans. This will be ULM's second meeting against the Bobcats this year, as the Warhawks took down Texas State 4-0 earlier this season.

NOTABLES

-The Warhawks enter Friday’s matchup coming off of a win last Friday over SMU 4-3 to finish the spring season 13-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the Sun Belt Conference on the way to the top seed in this week's Championship.

-The Warhawks defeated Texas State 4-0 back on March 24 in the  SBC opener for ULM earlier this spring.

-The Warhawks are led by senior Petra Horakova, who enters Friday’s match with a perfect 13-0 mark in dual play this season. Tiffany Mylonas sits at 11-1 on the spring, while in doubles play Horakova and Stefana Andrei sit at a perfect 6-1 record. Freshman Madalina Grigoriu sits at 11-2 out of the number six position heading into Friday’s quarterfinal.

-This will be the Warhawks second visit to City Park/Pepsi Tennis Center this season, as they also played there on March 18 when they took down No. 40 Tulane 4-3.

-Last season in the SBC Championship, the Warhawks won a first round matchup 4-3 against Appalachian State before ultimately falling in the quarterfinals 6-1 to the number one seeded Georgia State.

-The Bobcats enter Friday’s quarterfinal matchup coming off of a 4-3 win over the Ragin' Cajuns, which saw Texas State come back from 3-0 down to win the match with four straight singles match wins on Thursday.

-Overall, the Warhawks are 18-9 all-time against the Bobcats heading into Friday’s matchup. This will be ther first Sun Belt postseason meeting between the teams.
