FROM COACH HILTZ
About the weekend: I feel like Tuesday night left enough of a sour taste in our mouths that we will be motivated to play the same way but take the win that should come with playing well this time. My seniors from Texas will be especially motivated to wrap up their careers with wins over the Texas schools. I think the whole team is interested in exacting a little bit of revenge or at least proving that our first match against UTA wasn't who we really are.
What we’re looking for: This final weekend will tell me a lot about the team mentality we have. We can set the tone for a productive off season by showing our fans how much we love this game. One hundred team digs last game is one of the ways we show our heart. I'll take that same effort twice more. When we play like that we give ourselves a chance to win every night no matter if we are playing a school from Nebraska, Louisiana or Texas.
Final regular season match: Saturday will be extra special in that it's senior night. We have 3 incredible young women who have given so much of themselves to this program and to this school. They deserve every bit of a positive send-off and I can't think of any better way to honor them than to send them home with two wins.
The Warhawks will close out the season this weekend against Texas State on Friday, Nov. 11, and UT Arlington on Saturday, Nov.12. The seniors will be recognized on Saturday the last regular season home game.
