MONROE, La.  -  The ULM women’s basketball team will play its first neutral site game of the season when the Warhawks open the Sun Belt Conference Championship on Tuesday against the fifth-seeded Ragin' Cajuns.

NOTABLES

Last time out: ULM ended the regular season on a high note Saturday afternoon on Alexis Collins' three-pointer with two seconds remaining as the Warhawks defeated Texas State 61-59 on Senior Day inside Fant-Ewing Coliseum. After a three-point play via a layup and free throw, Texas State took a one-point lead with 23 seconds left in the game, and Collins sunk the three-pointer as the clock ticked down. Texas State's final inbound attempt was deflected by ULM on the inbound attempt to secure the victory.

Opponent: The Cajuns closed out the regular season with a 79-76 loss to UTA, but won six of its last eight games in the regular season. In neutral site games this season the Cajuns hold a 1-2 record. The team boasts one player who received first team All-Conference honors in Jaylyn Gordon and one player who received a second team All-Conference nod in Simone Fields. Gordon leads the team in at six different categories: points (488), three-point field goals (75), free throws (85), assists (92), steals (53) and average minutes (38.4).

The Road Ahead: With a win against the Ragin' Cajuns on Tuesday, the Warhawks will move into the second round of play against fourth seeded Texas State, who receives an opening round bye. A win over Texas State would send the Warhawks into the semifinal round.

Sun Belt Tournament: All 12 teams gained a bid to the Sun Belt Conference Championship Tournament. The teams will descend on New Orleans, La. and compete in Lake Front Arena from March 7-12. Tickets can be purchased through the ULM ticket office. For more information on the tournament check out the tournament preview here or the Sun Belt Championship page here.
