FROM COACH DOW
"I thought we had a great effort by our team today and we did not play like a 12 seed by any means. Effort alone and the energy we played with was great. We got a little tired late maybe, but we couldn’t be more proud of our kids with how tough they played. It’s been a tough season and not what we wanted, but we had a great win against Texas State on Saturday and there was great effort in that game and again in today’s game. We gave ourselves a chance. A lot of times as a coach that’s as much as what you’re looking for, going into the fourth quarter with a five-point lead and it certainly speaks volumes."
