MONROE, La. – The women's basketball team and head coach Jeff Dow have added three players to the 2017 class during the spring signing period. They join six signees from the fall signing period, along with Jessica Harris, who transferred from Mount St. Mary's and sat out the 2016-17 season due to transfer restrictions.
“We're excited about this class as a whole and the potential that it will have for our program,” Dow stated. “We added a number of perimeter players that we think will improve our ability to make plays off the dribble while also adding some 3-point shooting. Next year we envision being able to put four guards and a forward on the floor at times so it was important to add some versatility to what we're already bringing back. At the same time we were able to add length and an inside presence with the addition of Diamond Brooks and Tan Walker.”
“We're excited about what our five early signees (Clark, Stephens, Goins, Camryn Johnson and Brooks) were able to accomplish in their senior year and this class was fortified even further by adding Tiara, Tan and Alexus, in addition to Jessica Harris who redshirted for us this past season.”
