MONROE, La. – ULM women’s soccer head coach Stacy Lamb has announced the 2010 schedule for the Warhawk soccer program. The upcoming fall slate is highlighted by nine home matches and a trip to Las Vegas, Nev.
The Warhawks will open the 2010 campaign on Friday, August 20, when they host Central Arkansas at the ULM Soccer Complex. The following weekend, ULM will travel to Las Vegas, Nev., for a pair of matches. The Warhawks will play Portland State on August 27 and UNLV on August 29, the trip will be ULM’s first-ever appearance in the State of Nevada.
Following the trip west, ULM will have six non-conference matches remaining before the beginning of conference play. The Warhawks will begin the stretch by hosting Centenary (Sept. 3) and Nicholls State (Sept. 5), ULM will also host Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Sept. 14) prior to the beginning of conference play. The Warhawks remaining pre-conference road matches are trips to Northwestern State (Sept. 10), McNeese State (Sept. 12) and Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 17).
The opening weekend of Sun Belt Conference play will also serve as the annual Parents Weekend for the ULM soccer program. The Warhawks will open Parents Weekend hosting Troy on Friday, September 24 before South Alabama comes to Monroe on Sunday, September 26 to conclude weekend festivities.
ULM’s first road weekend of conference play will see the Warhawks travel to North Texas on Friday, October 1, followed by a trip to the Mile High City to take on the Pioneers of Denver on Sunday, October 3.
The Arkansas members of the Sun Belt come to Monroe the following weekend as the Warhawks will entertain UALR on October 8 and Arkansas State on October 10. ULM will travel to Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee the following weekend, visiting the Hilltoppers on October 15 and the Blue Raiders on October 17.
The Warhawks will then travel to Florida International on Thursday, October 21 before coming home to host Florida Atlantic on Sunday, October 24 for Senior Day. ULM’s final regular season game will be a trip to Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday, October 29.
The 2010 Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Tournament will be hosted by Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky., November 3-6.
