MONROE, La. - ULM women’s tennis head coach Terrance De Jongh announced today (June 1) the signing of Medy Blankvoort to a national letter of intent.
"We are excited about the addition of Medy to our program next season," said De Jongh. “She is a strong player that I believe will have a positive impact on our program and I look forward to working with Medy once she arrives in Monroe.”
Blankvoort, a native of Huizen, Netherlands, trains at the H.L.T.C. De Kuil club, where she became the youngest senior champion in club history. She was also a member of the club’s district champion under-14 and under-17 teams. Blankvoort, who has worked with coach Michiel Schapers, is also ranked in the open division in the Netherlands.
Blankvoort is the second student-athlete to sign a letter of intent to join the ULM women’s tennis team for this coming fall, joining Letha Gaigher who signed earlier this spring.
